Skype eating your processor... yummy!

Today I noticed something a bit strange: when Skype stays on a conversation window, it takes about 10-12% of my processor time, even if Skype doesn’t have focus. If the focus is on the history window, even if the previously opened conversation stays available on the left column, the processing time drops to less than 1% average. Together with the processing time comes battery drain and heat (it’s summer now, that’s something I’d like to reduce :).

Check these screenshots, I could reproduce it every time I tried. Focusing on another app or changing desktop doesn’t help.

If anybody around wants to try and give feedback, I’ll be interested. My current environment is Skype 6.5.0.443 on OSX 10.8.3.
